What is Members Credit Union?

Thank you for considering membership in the regions largest cooperative community credit union. We are a not for profit financial institution offering Savings,Checking,Debit Cards, Auto Loans, Line of Credit, VISA, MasterCard, Mortgages, Home Equity Loans, Online Banking, Online Bill Payment, Phone Banking, and much more!

Eligibility of Membership

Members Credit Union offers membership to the following:

• Individuals who reside in the counties of Antrim, Benzie, Kalkaska, Grand Traverse, Leelanau, or Manistee, Michigan.
• Individuals who work or work for an employer in the counties of Antrim, Benzie, Kalkaska, Grand Traverse, Leelanau, or Manistee, Michigan.
• Individuals who worship in the counties of Antrim, Benzie, Kalkaska, Grand Traverse, Leelanau, or Manistee, Michigan.
• Individuals who are enrolled, in grades K-12 in the counties of Antrim, Benzie, Kalkaska, Grand Traverse, Leelanau, or Manistee, Michigan.
• Any person who receives a retirement annuity, pension, social security, or similar retirement payment from private or government sources, and lives in, or belongs to a retirement organization located in Grand Traverse County, or in a county contiguous to Grand Traverse county where the credit union's main office is located.
• Employees of this credit union.
• Members of the Sheffer Collet/ITW Employees Federal Credit Union merger of record as of the date of December 1, 2008.
• Immediate family of the members outlined above.
• Organizations, incorporated or otherwise, composed for the most part of the same general group making up the membership of the credit union as outlined above. 
• A spouse of a deceased member if elected to membership prior to remarriage.

A subscribing member shall not be eligible to vote or hold office until one fully paid share is owned.

• Valid Social Security number
• Current Address
• $5.00 minimum, to open share account
